A deposit is where two commitments meet

Hi Reader,

Most people think of a deposit as reserving a puppy. Locking one in before someone else does.

I don't think of it that way.

A deposit is where two commitments meet. Yours to a breeder whose program you trust. Mine to raise a puppy specifically for your family.

Here's what actually happens on my side when you leave a deposit with me.

I read your application. Not skim it — read it. What size you're hoping for. What temperament fits your home. What coloring you love. Whether you have kids, other pets, a schedule that runs quiet or loud.

Then I plan breedings around families like yours. My waitlist is what shapes what I breed. If enough of my waitlist wants smaller pups, I plan a pairing that leans that direction. If a specific coloring keeps coming up, I plan for it. This is the piece most people don't realize — the breedings aren't happening first, with families finding a puppy after. The families come first, and the breedings are planned for them.

That's what I'm committing to when you leave a deposit. I'm holding a spot for you and planning toward you.

What you're committing to is different. You're saying you've looked at how I raise puppies, how I match, how I stay involved. And you're aligning with that. You're not buying inventory. You're choosing a program, a philosophy, and a breeder who's going to be part of your dog's story for the next 15 years.

That's what a deposit is. Two people saying "yes, this."

The puppy is what emerges from that agreement. But the agreement is the thing.

If that's how you've been thinking about it too, my waitlist is open. You can start your application here.
